The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Monday the signing of forward Tinus Luc Koblar to a three-year entry-level contract, securing a key piece of their future roster. The 18-year-old was selected by the Leafs 64th overall in the second round of the 2025 NHL Draft.

Koblar, who hails from Norway, spent the 2025-26 season playing with Leksands IF in the Swedish Hockey League, where he registered eight goals and six assists in 47 games. He also represented Norway internationally, notably helping the team reach its first-ever World Championship semifinal. During that tournament, Koblar led the Norwegians in scoring with six goals and three assists in 10 games.

This signing is a crucial move for the Maple Leafs as they continue to build for the future. Koblar's development in the SHL and his strong international performance indicate significant potential. The entry-level contract is structured to provide a pathway for him to transition to North American hockey, with expectations that he could join the Toronto Marlies of the AHL in the coming seasons.

The deal underscores the Maple Leafs' commitment to developing their prospects and adding new talent to their lineup. Fans will be watching closely as Koblar continues his progression, with hopes that he can become a significant contributor for the team in the years to come.
