Montreal police have arrested Bryan Fuentes Gramajo, who was listed as Canada's most wanted fugitive. The 24-year-old is wanted by Toronto police in connection with the shooting death of 28-year-old Kashif Jamal Bentley-Jean in the parking lot of Yorkdale Shopping Centre on July 17, 2025.

Gramajo was taken into custody in Montreal's Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough at approximately 2:40 a. m. on Thursday. He is scheduled to appear in court in Montreal on Thursday afternoon and will then be transferred to Toronto for a court appearance on March 10. Mélanie Dupont, head of the Montreal police major crimes unit, stated that the arrest was made without incident, but the SWAT team was involved due to Gramajo being considered dangerous.

In October 2025, the Bolo Program, which raises public awareness about dangerous criminals, designated Fuentes Gramajo as Canada's most wanted fugitive. Toronto Police Superintendent Joe Matthews stated at a news conference that Gramajo was believed to be a member of the Montreal-based gang Zone 43. Matthews emphasized the seriousness of the charges, saying that Gramajo posed a significant threat.

Another suspect in the Yorkdale shooting, 20-year-old Bradley Lucate-Nicolas, was arrested in Laval, Quebec, in August and charged with first-degree murder. A third suspect, 28-year-old Jimmy Prudent of Montreal, remains at large. Police are asking anyone with information on Prudent's whereabouts to contact them.
