Richmond Hill is gearing up for a vibrant Canada Day celebration on July 1, with Canadian music star Fefe Dobson set to headline the festivities. The event, a beloved tradition for many families in the York Region, will take place at Richmond Green Park and is free for all attendees.
The day-long celebration promises a wide array of activities for all ages, starting at 2 p. m. and concluding with a fireworks finale at 10 p. m. Attendees can look forward to live entertainment on multiple stages, a dedicated fun zone with numerous inflatables, community engagement booths, an art exhibition showcasing local talent, and a variety of food and beverage vendors. New this year, the event will also feature a sensory room and a soccer zone for added family enjoyment.
Fefe Dobson, a multi-platinum and JUNO-nominated artist, is scheduled to perform on the Main Stage at 9:15 p. m. Known for her significant impact on Canadian pop-rock in the early 2000s, Dobson has achieved international recognition with hit songs such as "Take Me Away," "Ghost," and "Stuttering." Her performance is expected to be a highlight of the day, offering an energetic and memorable experience for the Richmond Hill community.
The festivities aim to showcase Canada's diverse culture and community spirit, providing a day filled with entertainment, connection, and national pride. The celebration will culminate with one of the region's most impressive pyro-musical fireworks displays, lighting up the night sky over Richmond Green Park.
