Canada-wide warrant issued for man known to frequent London

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a federal offender who is known to frequent London, Ontario. The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R. O. P. E.) Squad is requesting assistance from the public to locate Michael Stamatakos, 55, who is wanted for allegedly breaching his parole.

Stamatakos is described as a Caucasian male, standing 5’7″ (170 cm), weighing 166 lbs (75 kg), with a shaved head and blue eyes. He also has several tattoos, including one on his left forearm.

Anyone having contact with this individual or information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the Provincial R. O. P. E. Squad at 416-808-5900 or toll free at 1-866-870-ROPE (7673). Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). The R. O. P. E. Squad works to apprehend parolees who have violated the conditions of their release, contributing to public safety across Canada. Parole conditions are set to ensure the offender reintegrates into society without posing undue risk. Breaching these conditions can lead to the revocation of parole and a return to custody.

The public is cautioned not to approach Stamatakos if he is located, but rather to contact police immediately. The investigation is ongoing.
